Customer Update for those with Package Holidays due to depart between up to 5th July

You should have received an email from us explaining which colour category your holiday falls into following our review of the current travel advice and restrictions in place for your destination;

 

GREEN Destinations

It’s time to get ready for that well-deserved holiday.

Destinations on the Green list have been designated safe to travel to with no requirement to quarantine when you arrive back home by the Government’s Department of Transport. Keep in mind that you will still need to organise Covid-19 tests for pre-departure and before you come home.

What next?

1.  Sign-in to the website to view your booking and pay your outstanding balance here. For your online security, you will need to have an account to sign-in. If you have not yet created one, you can read our quick guide here.

2.  Use our handy travel advisory tool to view the travel and testing requirements for your trip here. Remember to check this regularly as the advice is subject to change at short notice.

-  We won’t charge Travel Republic fees for any changes made due to Covid however, all changes will be subject to the airline and hotel amendment/cancellation policies and price changes.

 

AMBER Destinations

While it will be possible to travel to destinations on the Amber list, there are some countries where the FCDO continue to advise against non-essential travel.

Under the Department of Transport’s Traffic Light System, travelling to destinations on the Amber List will require you to quarantine at home for 10 days, with two PCR tests required on day 2 and day 8 when back. However, there is an option for early release if you take the additional Test To Release on day 5 and produce a negative result.

If you choose to travel to a destination which is on the Amber list, where the FCDO advise against travel for leisure purposes, you’ll need to double check that your Travel Insurance is still valid.

 Our Customer Service team are calling all customers, with holidays to Amber list destinations, in departure date order.

 The team will go through all the options available and you will have the opportunity to let us know whether you still wish to go on holiday as planned or make any changes.

-  As our teams are working in departure date order, you can expect to receive a call at least 7-14 days prior to your departure date. We will keep you updates should this timeline change.

 

RED Destinations

Your holiday will be classified as Red if;

1.  The destination is directly on the Red list as classified by the Department of Transport. This means the Government advises against all leisure travel to your destination. If you choose to travel, you will need to quarantine at a designated, Government approved hotel on your arrival back to the UK at your own expense.

2.  You will be transiting through a Red list destination. This would also mean you would need to quarantine at a designated, Government approved hotel on your arrival back to the UK at your own expense.

3.  Your holiday destination is on the Department of Transport’s Amber or Green list but there are border restrictions at your holiday destination, preventing you from entering.

4. Your holiday destination is on the Department of Transport’s Amber or Green list however the Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office (“FCDO”) are advising against all non-essential travel to your destination.

-  The team will go through all the options available and you will have the opportunity to let us know whether you still wish to go on holiday as planned, make any changes, cancellations, or receive a Refund Credit Note.

-  As our teams are working in departure date order, you can expect to receive a call at least 7- 14 days prior to your departure date. We will keep you updates should this timeline change.
